JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Security Officer is responsible for providing a safe and secure facility which would include assisting the Intake department in greeting and wanding referrals and also peforming necessary belonging searches of all personal belongings of guest and patients. The position would also include performing and documenting patient vitals as well as performing and documenting 15 minute observation rounds. Ensuring all guests have signed in with the switchboard and possess the appropriate identification sticker. Performing perimeter checks throughout the shift. Practicing de-escalation techniques with agitated customers while maintaining the best customer service and service exellence standards.



QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Education: High School diploma or GED required

Experience: 2+ years experience working within security capacity

Licensure/Certification: None



QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED:

Education: Some college coursework within Criminal Justice or related field.

Experience: One-year of experience working within an inpatient psychiatric hospital with children, adolescents and adults. Prior experience with utilizing crisis intervention verbal and physical techniques.
