Under limited supervision, the Network Systems Administrator (NSA) will perform a variety of routine to complex duties in support of the manufacturing and testing of integrated circuits. These activities include Unix/Windows tester system administration, system application server builds, testing, and deployment, software service troubleshooting, and production on-call support. The NSA may also provide leadership as well as directing less experienced NSA s.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Build, test, deploy, troubleshoot, and support production manufacturing network systems to meet high-availability requirements including:
Software application stack installation and configuration, troubleshooting, and performance improvements.
Tester and manufacturing equipment OS and driver management, including GPIB and USB interface hardware.
Storage clusters, CIFS/SMB and NFS file services, ESXi virtual machines, and system backup planning and management.
Name service databases and Unix/windows account and client management for LDAP, DNS, NTP, NIS services.
Engineering and manufacturing user support for problems related to application stack including test programs, data automation, and summary tools.
Software license and hardware resource management, asset tracking, budgeting, and writing purchasing proposals.
Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL database administration, database capacity and backup planning, query performance tuning.
Development and maintenance of automated system monitoring bash and python scripts and monitoring servers with splunk and zabbix.
Define project objectives, metrics and milestones, monitor network improvement project status, report on progress and take corrective action as appropriate, coordinate network and system changes via change management process with local and corporate IT staff.
Maintain skillset proficiency with recent operating system component and feature releases and enhancements.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor s Degree (BSCS, BSIT or BSCE) or certifications (CISSP with 5+ years of relevant IT experience OR RHCE with 5+ years OR MCSA with 10+ years of experience required).
PREFERRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Proficient in the full suite of Microsoft Office products - Excel, Word, Visio, Power Point, Project.
Network services administration: LDAP, DNS, NFS, CIFS/SMB, NIS, Red Hat Satellite, Unix/Linux/Windows TCP/IP configuration and troubleshooting.
Unix/Linux/Windows system administration experience with bash, python, ansible.
Ability to learn and retain technical information.
Manufacturing network hardware/software purchases, license renewals, and budget planning.
Ability to multi-task with outstanding communication/people skills.
