Synopsys is seeking a Senior Security Research Engineer, who will work on advanced technologies for the Synopsys Software Integrity Group (SIG) portfolio.

You have a very strong knowledge of applications security, good knowledge of code analysis, and have reviewed or tested different kind of applications (web, mobile, embedded, etc.). Prior experience in performing code review, penetration testing, and using static analysis are huge positives. If you've got experience with any known static analysis and developer testing tools like Coverity, Fortify, or Checkmarx, we'd love to talk to you! If you feel like there is a need to improve the current state of application analysis for security, we'd love to talk to you!
You will be responsible for: Driving parts of the internal development of Coverity security knowledge
Participating in the research of software defects in several types of applications (web, mobile, embedded, etc.)
Reviewing and applying the latest security research
You will apply your experience and knowledge in solving complex problems related to new products and product enhancements
You will need:
Proven expertise in a field of application security (web app, mobile, games, etc.)
Experience working with static analysis and doing code review is strongly preferred
Strong background in one of the mainstream programming languages and the ability to learn new programming languages quickly
Familiarity with enterprise application architectures and frameworks.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a distributed team environment of other researchers and engineers.
Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and identifying how security issues may appear with these new technologies
Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, moderately complex technical tasks.
No specific degrees are required, however several years' experience with consulting (or working) for large organizations OR an advanced degree from a top computer science school would be preferred.
