Software Test Engineer, Cyber - FS Poly 9/11/2020
JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY Truly unique CNO work... Many CNO efforts in the Intel Community are short-lived R&D efforts that sometimes succeed and sometimes fail: the project led by our client's Technical Lead Engineer is very different. This is a gold-plated, products-that-work-every-time CNO solution - real \\"enterprise CNO\\" with long-term software development efforts taking a holistic approach to CNO. The focus is wireless technologies and unique custom hardware and software, instead of the typical CNO efforts that target kernels of Linux, Windows, iOS, and Android. Most of the technology involved runs on embedded Linux or something similar, and you'll find various microprocessors and microcontrollers (x86, PowerPC, MIPS, ARM, and others). Additionally, this team is moving to an additional brand new set of technologies that can only be discussed in a high side conversation. The work you'll do here and the technologies you'll be exposed to can't be found anywhere else - not on other government programs, not in other countries, and not in the commercial market. Overall, the team's efforts are about 25% long-term R&D and 75% building out of brand new enterprise CNO tools based on successful R&D efforts. A really important, different aspect of this project is that you'll actually see how, where, when, and why your CNO tools are being deployed and used. You'll work hand in hand with the missions, know what they are, and see the direct impact of your work. Our client's Lead Engineer is the Tech Lead, and they have Engineers working on all the programs' sub-teams, providing them with strong influence on technical direction. The tech stack here is diverse, and in addition to all the things we CANNOT mention here, you'll find C, C++, Python, Reverse Engineering tools, Vulnerability Research technologies, various microprocessors and microcontrollers mentioned above, and more. There are opportunities on this growing team for Vulnerability Researchers, Software Reverse Engineers, Hardware Reverse Engineers, CNO Developers, Software Test Engineers, and Python and Java Application Developers who want to move into Cyber. Work sites for this effort are at one or more government facilities in the Hanover and Annapolis Junction area: exact locations are classified, but we can say that traffic to them is easy, and parking is very convenient. All roles require US citizenship and a current TS/SCI + FS Poly clearance.
