Job Title: Sr. Acquisition Program Engineer (APE SR)

Odyssey Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Survivability/Low Observability (LO)/Vulnerability Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Engineer to apply M&S tools in support of concept and capabilities analyses for future AF weapon systems.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Applies knowledge and experience toward the design of new and emerging survivability/low observability/vulnerability technologies as part of USAF weapons system development * Utilizes available weapons system modeling and simulation tools to emulate emerging technologies
Applies knowledge and experience to support studies, assessments, and analysis to include theory and engineering application of LO principles and techniques, requirements definition, test methodology development and validation, survivability modeling and simulation, data analysis to evaluate weapon and air vehicle survivability, LO, and vulnerability technology/performance
Applies knowledge of and experience with survivability and LO design to identify, define, plan, and implement solutions into LO weapon designs
Supports vulnerability studies to evaluate the degree of impairment after weapon system exposure to hostile man-made environments and quantify the degree of impairment of its ability to accomplish its designated mission. This includes investigation of survivability of weapons and task platforms while en route to the target, as well as after attack and vulnerability analysis of the radio and data links (Radio Electronic Combat Vulnerability Analysis/Data Link Vulnerability Analysis, or RVAN/DVAN).
BS and MS Engineering (ABET-accredited) and 15+ years relevant experience; or Ph.D. and 5+ years of relevant experience
Top Secret clearance
Familiarity with: Low observable technology and applications to weapon systems; Weapon system ingress and survivability (numerical or signal processing models); Weapon system guidance, navigation, and control including trajectory optimization and aerodynamic modeling; Target vulnerability and weapon lethality analysis
* Experience with the following:
* ESAMS, AJEM, AFSIM, BRAWLER, SUPPRESSOR, and/or GIANT
Experience in engineering or program management of DoD acquisition programs. Experience desired in the development of open systems architectures.
Comfortable working with an M&S team that conducts experiments at multiple levels of fidelity using various tools including first principles models, engineering/engagement tools, and mission level simulations
Comprehensive understanding of the organizational mission and interfaces with intelligence, Major Commands, Air Staff, DoD laboratories, and support agencies
