JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY Job Summary:
Responsible for the Treasury Management sales activities within a geographic region of the bank, including the development of new business, the expansion of existing business relationships, and the servicing of customers.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversees and manages a staff of Treasury Management Sales Representatives for an assigned area and provides sales and product training/coaching to Treasury Management Sales Representatives.
Develops a marketing strategy and set sales objectives for/with their assigned Treasury Management Sales Officer (s) and monitors and reports results.
Oversees the development of new Treasury Management business, and the expansion of existing business.
Stays informed of new Treasury Management products and services; incorporate new products into the sales program; and ensure Sales Representatives are trained on the new product and/or service.
Ensures the bank staff are knowledgeable of Treasury Management products and services; provide periodic informational training on such services.
Maintains a current knowledge base of industry standard Treasury Management practices and services available; serves as a contributing member of a committee or project team as required or requested, and collaborates with Synovus Product Management on product enhancements/competitive product shortcomings.
Manages the day-to-day activities of assigned Treasury Management staff. Provides leadership, direction and growth opportunities to members of the department, performing those responsibilities in accordance with the Company's policies and applicable laws. Responsible for interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning or directing work, appraising performance, disciplining team members and resolving problems. Works with the Human Resources Department to resolve more complex team member-related issues.
Coordinates new Treasury Management Service/Pricing offerings, modifications, and implementations with their assigned Treasury Management Sales Officer to deliver to customers/and or bank personnel
Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role. Additionally, they should raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field
Required Experience: Nine (9) years of experience within Treasury Management, of which, at least six (6) years must be in a sales or business development role
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate the work of others
Leadership skills, and the ability to lead a group of peers
Strong communication skills, and the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
Public speaking skills, and the ability to communicate to a large group of individuals at once
Strong competence using Microsoft Work, Excel, and PowerPoint
Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) is preferred
