The Precision Fluidics Division of Parker Hannifin Corporation is a leading global supplier of miniature fluidic components and system solutions integral to medical and analytical instrumentation device technology. Precision Fluidics Division is known for its innovative design and manufacture of miniature solenoid valves, proportional valves, pumps, electronic pressure controllers, mass flow controllers, and application specific system solutions. These products control movement and direction of precise amounts of fluid in medical devices and life science analytical instruments as well as clinical diagnostic, gas detection and printing systems. From supporting kidney dialysis, patient monitoring and gas chromatography equipment, Precision Fluidics products deliver leading edge fluidic solutions that enhance our customer s technology, increase their speed to market while lowering their overall costs. This is achieved through direct engineering collaboration to generate compact, reliable and high performance components and systems optimized for your application specific requirements. The Patient Gas Delivery Business Unit of the Precision Fluidics Division focuses on development and production of nitrous oxide conscious sedation systems for dental and medical applications.
Responsible for developing and managing production team leaders and associates, quality, budgets, employment decisions and performance assessments of the Value Stream. Operational leadership including successful Lean implementation. Meets with employees regularly, reflecting on problems, solutions, and challenges. Utilizes structured problem solving and High Performance Team approach to drive productivity gains, a culture of continuous improvement and learning. Responsible for all aspects of managing the Value Stream, ensures that team input is used to thoroughly evaluate and implement timely decisions, including employment decisions related to associates and performance assessment of all direct reports. Leads the Value Stream in daily operations which include but are not limited to: establishing manufacturing priorities, coordination of activities with off -shift management and order shipments. Emphasizes the creation of continuous product flow, utilize pull systems where flow is not currently possible, and works to level the workload. Creates the basis for continuous improvement and employee empowerment by ensuring that standardized work/processes are followed, countermeasures implemented and the area is compliant with safety requirements. Instills and maintains a positive can-do team atmosphere within the Value Stream; holds regular team meetings, assigns team member tasks and coordinates support services needed outside the team. Utilizes PDCA in conjunction with the Tracking Centers and Team Improvement Boards to ensure results. Ensures effective cross-training for the Value Stream associates, including backups from other areas, to assure a continuous smooth running Value Stream. This training is the foundation of a culture that stops to fix problems in order to get quality right the first time. Ownership of Value Stream P&L s including cost analysis and opportunities, product line margin, PPV goals and manufacturing productivity. Responsible for contributing to business simplification objectives (Parker Operating Protocol) and long term manufacturing strategies. Works with the members of business unit leadership team to develop the future state value stream map and manages the plans to achieve it, as documented in the Site Tracking Center. In addition, the VS Manager works with the VS Team Leaders to maintain the Team Improvement Boards (TIB). Both of these centers the TIB and Site Tracking Center are the minimum requirements in a visually controlled environment that ensures no problems remain hidden
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent. 3-5 years of major professional accomplishments, including increasing responsibility and leadership of projects and teams, scope and complexity. Previous P&L ownership experience. Sufficient experience and background in accounting, PC skills, manufacturing, employee relations and engagement, inventory control and strategic planning. Demonstrated change management and team building skills. Capable of assessing and developing individual and team skills and capabilities. Able to create and maintain enthusiasm for new and challenging goals. Serve as a role model by promoting new ideas and positive change. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
