The individual in this role must be able to demonstrate proficiency with installations of mobile and fixed wireless radio equipment consistent with manufacturer and company guidelines.Job DescriptionThe emergency vehicle technician position is responsible for constructing, assembling and detail all aspects of a new vehicle conversion offered by the company. Types of work includes installation of emergency lighting equipment, fabrication and assembly of custom fabricated features, electrical wiring and routing of cables and harnesses, support and service of existing customers and work.Responsibilities & Duties* Perform tactical skills such as fabrication, vehicle automotive wiring and technical troubleshooting as it pertains to all aspects of vehicle production.* Cutting body sides for lighting, fabricating and running harnesses under vehicle, molding & shaping items for custom fit, painting and commercial coatings, installation of external accessories, wiring and hookup of electrical items, detailing and cleaning of vehicle, testing and troubleshooting vehicle performance, support and maintenance.* Perform daily checklist tasks in effort to manufacture vehicles to company standards and customer's satisfaction.* Assist customers and other employees with service and troubleshooting work pertaining to emergency vehicle repairs* Maintain clean workspace, assist in whole shop cleanliness to keep workspace free from debris and hazards to ensure* Operation of equipment only after proper training and with due regard for safety.* Perform other various company improvement projects at the request of your manager.* Assist in the development of the products and services offered by the company and help toward Company's goals of continuous improvement.Qualifications* High School diploma or GED with experience or vocational/college education* Minimum of 3 years (or similar experience)* Strong team player* Detail oriented* Self-starter and commitment to customer satisfaction* EVT Certification(s) (preferred but not required)Work Conditions* Shop environment* Occasional lifting of up to 75 lbs., bending & moving* Fast-paced environment with ability to quickly adapt to changing needs of customers.Additional Duties* This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed.
