The ideal candidate will have a strong technical security background, be passionate and knowledgeable about security, and have prior extensive experience leading and growing Sales and/or Systems Engineering teams. An ability to \\"lead from the front\\" and a willingness to act as both player and coach to help your team secure the technical win will be key to your success.**Your day-to-day**+ Lead a team of dynamic and energetic Systems Engineering Directors supporting all sales efforts in the Americas.+ Peer with corresponding sales leadership to drive sales and SE strategies, ideas, new opportunities and the best methods for achieving success in a changing marketplace+ Lead from the front, with a track record of actively participating in large, complex sales engagements with relationships with CISO's, CIO's, and technical security leaders.+ Leverage your experience in driving career pathing, SE specializations, and certifications to differentiate and scale Proofpoint within the industry.+ Partner with recruiting and HR to attract, hire and retain the top 10% of talent in the industry to support our rapid growth.+ Become an expert in our best in breed security solutions, enable your team with our world class training, and provide 1:1 coaching and development at every opportunity.+ Partner with other groups (e.g. Professional Services, Support, Product) to help us continue our tradition of an outstanding customer experience, and continued product development requirements.+ The role will require travel between 25-75% globally to ensure that sales and client needs are met and exceeded.**What you bring to the team**+ You should have experience in second and/or third line leadership roles, selling next generation security solutions to the enterprise.+ We're a cloud security company, so cloud and SaaS strategy is key.+ We're looking for a deep technical background combined with experience in leading change with large teams.+ Experience in selling and positioning a platform, ideally cloud based, is required.+ CISSP and related certifications would be great, but not required.+ Bachelors or equivalent experience_If you like wild growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, you'll enjoy your career with us!_At Proofpoint, we have a passion for protecting people, data, and brands from today's advanced threats and compliance risks.
